Last May 27, my good friend Chef Anton Abad, the present Executive Chef of Canlubang Golf & Country Club in Laguna, invited me to take some photos of the Clubhouse which he will use for the cover of their new Menu.
I obliged not only because he is a friend but also because it was my pleasure to take a photo for the Menu of a championship course, the largest in the Philippines and considered as one of the most challenging courses in Asia. See related articles here (1) (2).

I have to literally go out to the greens to take the images I wanted of the clubhouse, because that is suppose to be the centerpiece of the photo per Chef Anton. I was lucky, I never got any golf ball marks on any part of my body, huh!
I was never contended. I had the privilege of being driven by the good chef around the vast golf course and I had a blast taking photos. What appeared to me anywhere I looked was unending greens outlined by lush trees with well defined sand traps and lakes everywhere! I was telling chef what about if they will put ducks in the lakes/ponds! We were left laughing because we had a private joke about that!
I had close to a hundred images that I presented the Chef, but in the end, he picked the immediate photo below:
It should come out soon because when we came back to Manila yesterday, he was already going to reproduced the image.
Big thanks to Chef Anton and to all good people of Canlubang Golf & Country Club. How I wish I knew how to play golf!!! I remember doing the same thing to our common friend John some more than a year ago.
